Being in Chicago (on pleasure) at present, we took the opportunity to visit Apple's flagship store on swanky Michigan Avenue. It's a wonderland for Mac users where 'geniuses' answer questions and staff encourage punters to check their email. But what about the company's new super-duper Intel-powered laptop, the MacBook Pro? "You'd be just as well getting one of the current Powerbooks," said Marge, a sales clerk. "Some of Apple's own software won't even run on the MacBook Pro until March." Last month, we reported that Irish experts were warning their customers off the new laptop. Turns out that Apple's own sales folks agree with them.
