Craigslist.org is turning heads. A marketing executive I bumped into at last week's IIA debate told me that she had advertised on the US site -- as a last resort -- for someone to do a job for her. She said she got 15 CVs, most of which were Irish. Pretty amazing. A quick look today on its Dublin page reveals that there are 240 housing notices, 63 jobs notices, 150 items for sale and a staggering 308 'personals' postings. We've all heard about how the site is turning the classifieds market in the US on its head. But it seems to be working up a head of steam in Ireland too.
(ps I think that one reason people like it because it has no silly, interfering web design element to it, a bit like The Register).
