What's the record for late responses to an e-mail inquiry for an Irish tech company? Three weeks ago, I logged a query to a midlands regional broadband player called Last Mile. It was sent to the company's 'info @' e-mail address. They finally responded this morning (and with a holding, 'your e-mail has been logged' e-mail at that). Other companies go even further. I've logged three e-mails with national outfit Irish Broadband in the last six months (through its online contact form) with no reply or even acknowledgement. That many Irish companies don't take e-mail seriously is not new. That it includes tech companies -- and communications ones in particular -- is pretty depressing.
Irish Broadband has extremely poor customer service. I once waited 1 hour for tech support listening to a recording saying "please wait".
It then cut out.
They sent me 1 modem and charged me for 2. The people I dealt with in there were scumbags.
I understand the holding company "owns" the bridge which causes the traffic chaos every day on the M50.

I have had the same sort of problems with Irish Broadband, got rid of them after a month.
ONly went with them in the 1st place because i could get any other broadband in my area.
NEver got an email back from them, was on hold for ages then when you get through to someone they havent got a clue and no answers to your questions. Broadband disconnected every 2 mins while online. Major headache.
Then when I did cancel after amonth (signed up with no contract, didnt have to stay with them for any particukar amount of time. eg 6 mth contract) they will still sending me out bills for the following 2 or 3 months saying we never cancelled the account.
Worst customer care i have ever seen, any one who has dealt with them will no this.
