No Macs for under €1,000
Apple has raised the entry-level price of its desktop computers to €1,020. It means that the cheapest Mac is now over twice the price of the cheapest PC. The price hike is due to the incorporation of Intel dual core chips.

Apple has raised the entry-level price of its desktop computers to €1,020. It means that the cheapest Mac is now over twice the price of the cheapest PC. The price hike is due to the incorporation of Intel dual core chips.
Comreg has added new sections to its callcosts.ie website. These include comparison prices between broadband and home phone packages available in Ireland. On another note, the Department of Communications has a new map-based site identifying which broadband services are available in any part of Ireland.
Comreg has just announced that iTrips -- the gadgets that connect iPods to radios by radio frequency -- will become legal in Ireland by the end of the year. More on its website.
