Compared to that the video with the New York Times review is a joke, for the most part it's more like an advert then anything near to journalism...

That stress test is impressive...
I remember hearing that Apple had a choice between soft plastic (which will scratch easy but is unlikely to crack) and hard plastic (which won't scratch but cracks easily) and went with the former for the iPod. Smart choice IMO.
But soft plastic and scratches on a touchscreen - bad news.
Going by the PC World test, the question is now "when will the new glass iPods be coming out?"
