e-book ripoffs

I love the Sony Reader. But I hate the ripoff on e-books. Right now, there's a sale on Waterstones.com, one of the accredited Sony Reader e-book stores. Except the sale is only on the dead tree editions. So hardbacks and paperbacks that are reduced to €7 (from €14) cost €11.35 in e-book format. Irritating.
