Farewell to a long-standing TV shop on Dublin's Camden Street, PAN TV, which has gone wallop. It has been around since the days of renting TVs. But it just can't compete with online sites and the big superstores. Wonder how long other independents, such as George's Street's long-standing Alliance Electric, will last. (Hope they do last.)
Incidentally, IT businesses are surviving better than some other businesses in the current recession, according to the list of company failures last year. Most of the casualties were construction, hospitality and furniture/interior design.
