Definitely something suspicious. I had the same thing happen to me, and to make it worse, they're now claiming I owe something like €45 for a fee dating from February that they never told me about (I got no letter in the post).
When you email the site, they wait two days before replying with a PFO that basically just says "here's the number you can call".
What is the effing point in offering this service via the web?
What a complete shower. I don't normally go in for conspiracy theories but I'm starting to think you're right about this ... no incentive to fix the problem while it generates cash (not to mention angry punters).

thats nothing compaired to what some people are going through, i've paid my toll charges on numerous occasions and still being charged for it and more, and plus i am being sent letters that say i've used the toll on days when i didn't, there system is crap they are crap and there getting away with it time and time again and who suffers, us thats who well its time some one did something about it, class action lawsuit or just go up there with a high powered pelt gun and shoot the bejasus out of there camras would be the easyest or get loads of infarad beems and aim them at the camras if that would work i dont no but could b done from a window just below camra level. or just take the bloody things down and give us back are roads i mean who paid for the roads in the first place and why did they pay for the roads. roads are not a bizzness there a high way for conducting bizzness and should not be put in place for the sole purpose of earning money espescailly for people who are struggeling enough with out this kind of bullcrap i mean just because other countrys are doing it does not mean are's have to too.
