Here is a short video review of one of the products features in the May edition of Computers In Business magazine, Sony's Vaio P. The verdict: it's gorgeous to look at but suffers from sluggishness and an awkward screen format.

Impressed by all the typing in the background, lots of work going on in the SBP :)

Looks very nifty, pity it's so interminably slow. That would drive me mad.

NINETY SECONDS. Holy shit. I'd scrap it simply for that, I presume that's a brand new model so there could be no memory problems or anything potentially slowing it down.
Out of interest, what did you record that video on? The mic sounds really high quality. How about a review of the item you shot the review with?

I wonder how -- if at all -- faster it would work if you turn all the "Performance Options" off, turn graphs settings down, get rid of unneeded background stuff etc.
These were causing me problems on my laptop while running demanding programs together or playing games.

Mark,
It's just a bog-standard Sony handheld camcorder -- bought it in DID a couple of months ago for €300.

I have Sony TZ series, it is 11inch. I used this 8 inch P series and I find the screen too small, not to mention there is no stunning new features, so i will not buy it.
