The chief executive of UPC (which owns NTL and Chorus in Ireland) has said that its upgraded broadband network will support "up to 120Mbs" on offer.
Robert Dunn was speaking to the Dublin Chamber of Commerce on Thursday evening. He said that, when finished, the upgraded network will have cost UPC €1 billion.
He also said that NTL and Chorus's customers used more bandwidth than UPC customers in other countries. Dunn said that Ireland is becoming an "advanced" broadband country. 500,000 UPC customers can now avail of 'triple play' services, he said.
